Summer is in full swing. For many of you it means beach vacations. Time to pack and to make sure you don't forget anything. Here are a few tips and advice from a long time beach (and scarf) lover about what to bring along :
On the very top of your list write down scarves! Scarves are beach lovers' very best friends. They are light-weight and easy to toss in a bag. And their versatility make them precious. Say no to messy hair and to wrinkles due to sun exposure: use small scarves as summer headbands to hold your hair or to protect your forehead or neck from the harsh sun. Say no to sloppy looks: turn extra large scarves into sarongs to always walk to / from the beach with style.
Relaxing on the beach doesn't mean you can't be jazzy! To protect your head from the sun, prefer a straw hat to a tennis hat. Straw hats are so much nicer and so much more feminine than caps, especially if you tie a scarf around them.
Don't be shy about accessories: a few fancy jewelry pieces, such as a metal necklaces or metal earrings, will achieve your look and turn you into a sophisticated sea goddess.
Your eyes are precious. In addition to protecting them, trendy sunglasses will also add instant glam to your beach outfit. Whether you like them retro, modern or classic, sunglasses are an absolute necessity.
An oversized white shirt (steal your husband's) on an adorable bathing suit is irresistibly sexy. And it helps to hide some flaws. Two good reasons to throw one in your beach bag.
Plastic flip flops are indeed convenient. Yet, let's face it, they look terrible, miserable, awful. Should we say more? Instead of these ugly footwear, adopt a pair of nice sandals (trendy) or, why not, a pair of high heel shoes you will hold with fake nonchalance over your shoulders once you reach the beach. Being a bold girl is fun!
Straw bags are a beach must-have to carry all your belongings. Stash your stuff in a cute and spacious bag and hit the sand in style.
