Square scarves are a classic and popular shape for scarf lovers. Yet, some people may find them a little difficult to tie - though it is simpler than it seems.
Like most famous designer brands, ANNE TOURAINE Paris™ offers a collection of square silk twill scarves - 36”x36” (90x90cm) and 27”x27” (70x70cm). These are wardrobe staples as they always convey natural elegance and sophistication.
Step #1 is to learn how to fold your square scarf. Note that depending on the way your scarf is folded, its pattern and colors may show differently.
Here are the three easy and common ways to fold a square scarf:
- Straight fold (= short band): edge to edge, fold your scarf in half to create a rectangle; fold again in half; then keep folding until you obtain the desired width.
- Bias fold (= long band): fold your scarf diagonally to create a triangle. Then, starting from the pointing tip, keep rolling towards the edge until you obtain a long band at the desired width
- Triangle fold: fold your scarf diagonally to create a triangle
