HOW TO TIE SILK SCARVES: THE EUROPEAN LOOP

The classic European loop, also known as Casual Sleek or Parisian knot, requires little effort and yet is a spectacular scarf knot. It works both with a daily top or a sophisticated jacket or coat. It will cover your chest in a beautiful way while keeping your neck warm (perfect for the Fall/Winter season).

To create the European loop knot, you need either a large square scarf - that you will fold diagonally into a long band - or an oblong scarf such as a lightweight silk chiffon scarf or a pashmina scarf. 

• Step 1: Fold your oblong scarf or your extra large square scarf (folded diagonally in half) lengthwise to obtain a sort of hoop
• Step2: Place your scarf around your neck with the hoop on one side of the shoulder. With one hand, keep the hoop open
• Step3: With your other hand, feed the two ends through the hoop
• Step4: Cinch up the loop and arrange the scarf into a nice even and bulky knot
• Step5 (optional): Finish with a large knot at the base of the loop. Et voilà!
