Ever heard about infinity scarves? Infinity scarves, - also known as circle scarves or eternity scarves - are continuous and closed loops with no beginnings and no ends. In other words: a fashionable version of the Möbius strip that one wraps around the neck in several loose layers…
As they do not require special tying skills, infinity scarves have become very popular. One question though: why would you spend for an infinity scarf which allows a very limited number of styles?
If, like us, you think infinity scarves are a waste of money and yet if you want to keep up with the trend, here is an option you may like: what about turning a regular scarf into a TEMPORARY infinity scarf. Super easy!
All you need is an oblong and lightweight scarf (click here to discover ANNE TOURAINE Paris™ oblong silk stoles). Then simply tie the two ends with a double tight knot… and here is your new infinity scarf!
Now… How to wear it?
Option#1: let it loose and show the knot.
Option #2: bring the knot up to the side.
Option #3: bring the knot to the back of your neck so that the majority of the loop drapes in front of your body.
Option #4: cross the scarf in front of your body and slip your head through one of the two loops you have created. for a nicer result, bring the knot to the back of your neck.
Option #5: Complete your look with a pearl necklaceplaced above your scarf.
And remember, this “infinity scarf” is also and above all a regular scarf. Just untie the knot you have made and wear your scarf as any regular scarf!
